If you are concerned that you will not be able to avoid hurting yourself or someone else, or you feel that you are in a crisis and your efforts to manage it are not successful, call 911 or UVA’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at 434-243-5150.
Crisis and emergency consultation services are available through CAPS 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. During business hours students can walk-in to CAPS and speak to the emergency consultation clinician. Afterhours students should call 434-243-5150 and ask to speak with an on-call clinician.
